2. Information we collect

Through the Site’s contact form, we collect your name, email address for reply, organization (optional), inquiry topic, and message. We also collect your consent status regarding the handling of the information you enter.

When you browse the Site, access information such as your IP address, browser type, and access date and time may also be recorded for technical purposes by the Site’s delivery infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, Inc.

3. Purposes of use

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

• To respond to inquiries and make necessary contact.

• To respond to consultations regarding publishing, software development, and education and research support.

• To operate the Site safely and maintain its security.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not disclose personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent, except as provided by law.

However, we may entrust service providers with the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. Transfers to providers outside Japan are handled in accordance with Section 5.

5. Outsourcing

Information submitted through the contact form reaches us via the form submission service Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative. The Site also operates on the delivery infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc. We entrust these providers with the handling of information to the extent necessary to provide their services. According to its published materials, Web3Creative, the operator of Web3Forms, is based in India. Information submitted through the form may be stored and processed outside Japan by Web3Creative and the service providers it uses. Information may also be handled outside Japan through Cloudflare, Inc.’s services.

When transferring personal data to providers outside Japan, we take the steps required by applicable law, including providing the required information and obtaining the individual’s consent, or verifying that the recipient maintains the safeguards prescribed by law and taking other necessary measures.

Web3Forms’ published materials state that submitters’ IP addresses and email addresses may be processed by external spam prevention services it uses to prevent spam. The handling of information by each service is set out in the provider’s terms of service, privacy policy, and related documents.

6. Cookies and related technologies

The Site does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. We use a cookie to remember your choice of Japanese or English as the display language. This cookie has a validity period of one year. To select the initial display language, we may also refer to information about the country from which you access the Site and your browser’s language settings. Technical cookies for security purposes may be set by the delivery infrastructure provider.

7. Retention period

We delete personal information collected through inquiries after the inquiry has been resolved and the necessary retention period has elapsed. If an inquiry leads to a transaction, however, we retain the information as a contractual record for the period prescribed by law.

For form submission data in Web3Forms, we have set the retention period in the dashboard to seven days. However, we are currently confirming with the service provider when the data is actually deleted from databases, logs, and backups. This setting is separate from the retention period for emails we receive and our records of handling inquiries.

8. Security safeguards

We implement appropriate security safeguards to prevent unauthorized access to, loss of, or leakage of personal information.

9. Requests for disclosure correction deletion and other actions

If an individual requests disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, or other action concerning their personal information that we hold, we verify their identity and respond promptly in accordance with the law. Please submit requests, inquiries, and complaints regarding our handling of personal information through the Site’s contact form.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy in response to changes in legislation or our business activities. Revisions apply from the time they are posted on the Site.
